Jeffrey A. Marksberry, M.D. is a scientist and medical educator. He has more than ten years of experience in medical education as a special consultant for two international medical schools. He also has expertise in medical licensure regulations for all 50 states and sovereign Native American governments as well as Canada, Australia, New Zealand and The Netherlands. His focus areas include writing curriculum for continuing medical education programs for medical schools and universities.
Dr, Marksberry serves as the Science and Education Director for Electromedical Products International Inc. (EPI), a multinational medical device company manufacturing and distributing Alpha-Stim brand medical devices for the treatment of anxiety, insomnia, depression and pain.
At EPI Dr. Marksberry specializes in research management- ensuring that all current and planned Alpha-Stim research meets and exceeds the rigorous standards of EPI, Institutional Review Boards (IRB), and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). He focuses on designing and delivering live practitioner training programs as well as conducting webinars worldwide. His teachings emphasize training military physicians for the benefit of our Service Members. Dr. Marksberry frequently leads grand rounds in hospitals, medical centers and U.S. military bases to educate physicians and other practitioners on the use of and advances in electromedicine and Alpha-Stim technology. He has presented grand rounds at Camp Pendleton, Fort Hood, Fort Polk, NB Point Loma, Fort Bragg and Camp LeJeune as well as many VAMC’s and civilian medical centers. In 2011 he conducted grand rounds at the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICoE) in Bethesda providing physician training to the world’s most elite wounded warrior treatment facility.
At EPI Dr. Marksberry also manages the clinical support department at EPI where he trains staff and fields the tough questions about drug interactions and perceived aide effects.
In 2011, Dr. Marksberry was recognized as a Fellow of The American Institute of Stress for his dedicated efforts in reducing the effects of post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and combat operational stress (COS) in Service Members and veterans as well as stress related disorders seen in the civilian population.
Dr. Marksberry earned a B.S. in Chemistry and Biology from Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and his M.D. at Saba University School of Medicine in the Netherlands Antilles.
He is the author of several scientific articles and co-author with Dr. Daniel Kirsch of the forthcoming book, The Science Behind CES to be released in 2013. He is frequently interviewed by the media to speak on the advances of electromedicine and stress related issues.
At home, Dr. Marksberry enjoys spending time with his wife, Kellie and his daughter Brooklynn. Jeff is an avid runner and frequently competes in weekend half-marathon races.
Dr. Marksberry participates in the AIS Speakers Bureau for a diversity of stress management related topics such as wellness, mood and sleep disorders and electromedicine.
