Mr. Hellebrand’s career spans to 1967, when he began teaching self-hypnosis classes at California State University Northridge.  He has lectured, and taught classes at colleges, universities, and for business, community, and professional groups throughout California.

In addition to being active in the field of hypnosis for more than 45 years, he has extensive counseling experience, through having worked for the Los Angeles County Probation Department for 32-years, before retiring in 2002.

Hypnotherapy Practice

His client base is diverse, ranging from individuals seeking self-improvement in a wide variety of areas to medical referrals, dental referrals, chiropractic referrals, and referrals from licensed counseling professionals.  Referrals from dentists, chiropractors, physicians, and counseling professionals typically account for at least 40% of his clients.  Irrespective of the reason that his clients seek out his practice, he always instructs them in self-hypnosis and how to use self-hypnosis for stress management and sleep improvement.

In addition to his private practice, he is a Senior Clinical Instructor in White Memorial Medical Center’s (WMMC) Craniofacial Pain Clinic, in Los Angeles, CA, where he teaches self-hypnosis techniques and works with dental referrals who suffer with chronic pain.

Additionally, he teaches a continuing education class titled Learn Hypnosis and Understand How Hypnotherapy Can Benefit Your Clients and Grow Your Practice.  This class is taught to licensed therapists through The Association for Advanced Training in the Behavioral Sciences (AATBS), Psycho-Legal Associates, and the Department of Educational Psychology, at California State University Northridge (CSUN).  He has also taught a 12-hour continuation education class to dentists in California.  This class is titled Hypnosis in Dentistry: Learn Hypnosis While Understanding Its Use in 21st Century Dentistry.
