COMMITTEES

[toggle title=”Congress Continuing Education Committee”]This committee will ensure that CME and CE specific requirements are met for training sessions planned during the annual AIS Stress Congresses.

CCEC members are invited to serve in increments of three year terms.  The Board of Directors have the authority to remove an CCEC member due to inactivity, conduct unbecoming the Institute or at the CCEC members request. The Board of Directors removal vote must be unanimous. At the conclusion of each three year term, the Board of Directors along with each CCEC member, will evaluate the mutual desire for another term[/toggle] [toggle title=”Education Module Committee”]This committee will work closely with the AIS Certification Committee to assure that each applicant to Fellowship completes the education module requirement and it that meets the standards set forth by the committee.

IEMC members are invited to serve in increments of three year terms.  The Board of Directors have the authority to remove a IEMC member due to inactivity, conduct unbecoming the Institute or at the IEMC members request. The Board of Directors removal vote must be unanimous. At the conclusion of each three year term, the Board of Directors along with each IEMC member, will evaluate the mutual desire for another term. [/toggle] [toggle title=”AIS Certification Committee”]This committee will serve dual functions.  The first is evaluating applications to membership to AIS and the second is evaluating applications to AIS Certification.

1. Membership Applications-The ACC will accept completed applications to Fellowship, Associate Fellowship, Membership and Student Membership from the ACC Coordinator.  In some cases, a member of the ACC will interview an applicant and report to the ACC their findings regarding the applicant’s eligibility for their applied level of membership. The ACC will appraise information and recommendations from all sources relating to all level membership applications and make recommendations to the AIS Board of Directors.  After review and evaluation of all information, the ACC makes one of three decisions: a. Approved  b. Postponed c. Denial of Application.

2. Certification Applications- The ACC will review all documentation submitted via the application packet and contact the applicant to schedule a site visit to evaluate the physical premises and interview any associated persons as to the accessibility and training that meets AIS standards.

ACC members are invited to serve the committee for a one year term.  The Board of Directors have the authority to remove an ACC member due to inactivity, conduct unbecoming the Institute or at the ACC members request. The Board of Directors removal vote must be unanimous. At the conclusion of each one year, the Board of Directors along with each ACC member, will evaluate the mutual desire for another term. [/toggle] [toggle title=”Congress Planning Committee”]This committee will assist the Executive Director in planning and executing a dual track stress congress each year.  This committee will work closely with the Congress Continuing Education Committee to make sure congress scheduling is in harmony with continuing education requirements.

Congress Planning Committee (CPC) members are invited to serve the committee for a two year term.  The Board of Directors have the authority to remove a CPC member due to inactivity, conduct unbecoming the Institute or at the CPC members request. The Board of Directors removal vote must be unanimous. At the conclusion of each two year term, the Board of Directors along with each CPC member, will evaluate the mutual desire for another term. [/toggle]
