I am a board-certified anesthesiologist with a special interest in stress and medical theory. I have recently described the mammalian stress mechanism(MSM) postulated by Hans Selye in 1951. The MSM repairs and maintains tissues and regulates hemodynamic physiology. It confers a new theory of anesthesia, analgesia & allostasis, and it explains the Unified Theory of Medicine that was postulated by Selye.
