Tanya J. Peterson, MS, NCC, DAIS is a mental health educator and author. She writes for mental health websites and has written eight self-help books, workbooks, and journals and drawn on her previous experience as a teacher and school counselor to create an online mental health course for kids 8-12. Much of her work centers on helping people understand and build mindfulness skills in order to live fully in each moment rather than stuck in their minds (their thoughts and feelings about problematic situations).
